Sharafadeen Alli Receives INEC Nomination Form, Unveils Running Mate for Oyo Governorship Election
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, has officially received his nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), marking a major step in the party’s preparations for the forthcoming governorship election.
At the presentation ceremony, Alli also unveiled Mr. Adesoji Michael Adedeji as his running mate. Adedeji, an Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, hails from Iwo-Ate in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Speaking at the event, Oyo APC Chairman and former Deputy Governor, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo, urged party members to close ranks and work together to secure victory at the polls. He emphasized that unity and collective commitment would be crucial to the party’s success.
Presenting the INEC nomination form, APC Deputy National Auditor, Gbenga Olayemi, described Alli as the party’s standard-bearer and encouraged members across the state to mobilise support for the APC ticket.
In his acceptance speech, Alli expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Working Committee, the Oyo State chapter of the party, security agencies and party supporters for their confidence and support throughout the primary election process.
He pledged to provide transparent, inclusive and people-oriented governance if elected governor, promising to focus on policies that would promote economic growth, improve infrastructure, strengthen education and healthcare, and enhance the welfare of residents.
The APC candidate also appealed to other aspirants who participated in the party’s primary election to join hands with him in building a united front capable of delivering victory for the party and advancing the development of Oyo State.
