Ekiti Commends Federal Government’s Intervention in Kwara Border Dispute
The Ekiti State Government has commended the Federal Government for its timely intervention in the long-standing boundary dispute between Ekiti and Kwara states, describing the move as a significant step toward achieving lasting peace and strengthening inter-state relations.
The state government said the Federal Government’s involvement has helped ease tensions in the affected border communities while creating an atmosphere for dialogue, reconciliation and peaceful coexistence among residents.
Ekiti reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the Federal Government, the National Boundary Commission and the Kwara State Government to ensure that the boundary issues are resolved through lawful and peaceful means.
According to the state, resolving the dispute is crucial to protecting lives and property, promoting economic activities and fostering sustainable development in the affected communities.
