GBODE PURPORTED DEFECTION : PUTTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT.

It’s no longer news that the longest serving Chairman in Surulere is prepared to leave the APC for PDP.
The questions on the lips of many is, why is Gbode leaving APC after benefiting for Seven (7) years as Council Chairman during Ajimobi’s tenure.
He was nominated as council chairman in 2011 not because he was the most qualified but because Sen. Adeseun wanted him to be the Council Chairman at the expense of many more qualified party members than him.
We believed, his inordinate ambition to go to the national assembly is the brain behind his planned defection.
We also discovered from our findings, Sen Adeseun’s decision not to back his ambition is the final straw that broke his camel’s eye.
Sen. Adeseun’s decision not to support his recent ambition is hinged on many factors, which are…
- The abandonment of Sen Adeseun and pitching tent with the late Ajimobi.
- Many supporters of Sen Adeseun who stood by him when Gbode left felt, it would be an hyssop for Gbode to reap where he refused to sow.
- Sen. Adeseun queried, would Gbode come back to him,if the late Ajimobi was still alive?
- Sen. Adeseun told Gbode point-blank, the party will give a serving Rep a first refusal or priority when it comes to vying for party ticket at the primary.
- Gbode felt uncomfortable with the truth Sen Adeseun told him that, if Bunvic is not contesting or his vying for another post. The party may give Ogo Oluwa LGA priority this time around.
- Gbode, who is not know to listen to superior argument felt bitter to the new reality on ground.
If Hon.Gbode finally defect as planned, He’s not going to be the first politician to do so.
We wish Gbode and his supporters consider the following as they defect.
- What do they stand to benefit in a PDP that is preparing for primaries.
- His Gbode been promised the house of representative ticket in PDP without contest?
- Chosing to run away from a fair contest in APC is a defective weakness for him.
- Do Gbode and his cohorts stand to benefit in PDP what they benefited in APC for eight years?
- If Sen. Adeseun could decide to stay in APC, what is Gbode his political son looking for in PDP?
- Gbode should be told the truth, PDP is ready to accept him and use him with or without any benefit whereas APC will reward him without biting an eye lid.
- We suggest Gbode should listen to his inner voice telling him to join hands with Bunvic and Adeseun to make APC a fortress in SURULERE.
We wish Gbode best of luck in his new political pursuit.
@surulere concerned APC youths.
If Gbode wishes are horses, his beggers would ride to success.
