Tinubu appoints Board of NPC
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 20 Nigerians to serve as Federal Commissioners in the National Population Commission (NPC), while nine of them currently serving were retained for a second term in office.
Nigeria Standard reports Tinubu in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity), Chief Ajuri Ngelale charged the commissioners to successfully implement all measures taken by his administration to produce and effectively appropriate accurate population data for the country.
The appointees include Hon Emmanuel Trump Eke (Abia State), Dr Clifford Zirra (Adamawa State), Mr Chidi Christopher Ezeoke (Anambra), Barrister Isa Audu Buratai (Borno) and Bishop Alex Ukam (Cross River State)
Others are Ms. Blessyn Brume-Ataguba (Delta State), Dr Jeremiah Ogbonna Nwankwegu (Ebonyi State), Dr Tony Aiyejina (Edo State), Mr Ejike Ezeh(Enugu State) and Mr Abubakar Damburam(Gombe State)
The statement added that other commissioners include Prof Uba Nnabue (Imo State), Ms Sa’adatu Dogon Bauchi Garba (Kaduna State), Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa (Kano State), Hon Yori Afolabi (Kogi State and Hon Olakunle Sobukola (Ogun State)
It was also reports that the list include Hon Temitayo Oluseye Oluwatuyi(Ondo State) Senator Mudashiru Hussain (Osun State), Ms. Mary Ishaya Afan (Plateau State),Mr. Ogiri Itotenaan Henry (Rivers State and Mr. Saany Sale(Taraba State)
