A Lagos based real estate merchant and founder, Omo Mayodele Educational Foundation, Abidemi Rufai has urged Muslims all over the world to continue to live in harmony, compassion as the holy month of Ramadan enters its first week.
Rufai who made this known in a statement to journalists yesterday also appealed to all Nigerians to maintain social distancing and listen to government directives on the best way out of the pandemic disease of Coronavirus now ravaging the world.
According to the former House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, it will be advisable for all Muslims to seize the several spiritual benefits inherent in the holy month to beseech Almighty Allah for His immediate intervention on the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is certainly a trying time for everyone of us all over the world. Notwithstanding, we should stand firm in our collective belief that there is no challenge beyond God’s control. Therefore, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to use the Ramadan period to ask God to restore our society to sanity.
Meanwhile, Rufai on Friday, April 24, 2020 begins the distribution of Ramadan Relief package to the needy within Ijebu Ode local government area.
The package which contains food items such as rice, beans, noodles, sugar and milk was channelled through his foundation designed at lending assistance to indigent students in the society.
