Nigeria Awaits FIFA Verdict Over DR Congo Eligibility Controversy
Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup aspirations now rest on a crucial decision expected from FIFA regarding an eligibility dispute involving the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The complaint was filed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), challenging the participation of several players fielded by Democratic Republic of the Congo national football team during the decisive African qualifying playoff.
