Kwara APC Stakeholders Endorse Senator Ashiru for 2027 Governorship Race
Prominent stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have declared their support for Senator Oyelola Ashiru as a leading aspirant in the state’s 2027 governorship election.
The party leaders made their position known after a consultative meeting held in Ifelodun Local Government Area, where they stressed the need for fairness, inclusiveness, and internal democracy within the APC. They noted that no single group or senatorial district should dominate the governorship position, emphasizing equal opportunity for qualified party members across the state.
According to the stakeholders, all three senatorial districts in Kwara State are home to capable and experienced party members who can effectively lead the state. They expressed confidence in Senator Ashiru’s leadership capacity, political experience, and commitment to progressive ideals.
The meeting also reaffirmed the group’s loyalty to the party’s leadership at both the state and national levels, pledging unity and discipline as preparations begin for future elections. The stakeholders further expressed concern over security challenges in parts of the state and called for sustained efforts to protect lives and property.
