FG retires Ali’s Customs management staff, appoints additional six new members


President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of six additional new management staff of the Nigeria Customs Service to replace those who were retired in the wake of the appointment of Wale Adeniyi as the Acting Comptroller General.
According to the statement by Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, the new members of the Customs’ management team include, DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed and ACG A Alajogun.
While congratulating the new appointees, the Acting, Adeniyi, charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure that the service achieves greater heights in its
mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
The statement reads:”Following the appointment of the Acting Comptroller General of Customs
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi on 19th June 2023 and the retirement of some management members in the Service, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic Nigeria, President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, has approved the appointment of the following Deputy Comptroller Generals (DCGs) and Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs):
DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed and ACG A Alajogun.
“While thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious service, the Acting Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi congratulated the newly appointed Officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.
