ADC Transfers All Pending Court Cases to National Legal Adviser
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has ordered that all pending court cases involving the party be transferred to its National Legal Adviser for immediate review and coordinated legal action.
The decision forms part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its legal strategy, ensure consistency in handling litigation, and protect its interests amid ongoing political and electoral disputes.
According to the party’s leadership, all legal matters instituted on behalf of the ADC or involving its structures at the national, state and local levels must now be routed through the office of the National Legal Adviser. The directive is aimed at preventing conflicting legal positions and ensuring proper representation in court.
The party said the new measure would enable it to maintain a unified legal approach while improving coordination among its legal teams across the country.
ADC leaders stressed that the directive also seeks to safeguard the party from unauthorized legal actions and ensure that all court proceedings align with its constitution, policies and overall political objectives.
The party reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law and resolving internal and external disputes through established legal processes. It added that the centralization of all litigation would enhance accountability and improve the management of legal matters ahead of future political activities.
Party officials expressed confidence that the decision would strengthen the ADC’s legal framework and reinforce internal discipline as it continues preparations for upcoming elections and other political engagements.
