Osun 2026: Oyebamiji Urges Voters Not to Sell PVCs Ahead of Governorship Poll
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2026 Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has appealed to residents of the state not to sell their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that the cards represent the people’s democratic power and should be used to elect credible leaders.
Oyebamiji made the appeal during his campaign engagements across various communities in Osun State, where he encouraged eligible voters to participate actively in the forthcoming governorship election. He said safeguarding PVCs is essential to protecting the integrity of the electoral process and ensuring that the people’s votes count.
The APC candidate urged the electorate to reject vote-buying and other electoral inducements, noting that selling PVCs or votes could undermine the state’s future by denying citizens the opportunity to choose leaders based on competence and vision.
He assured voters that his administration, if elected, would prioritise economic development, youth empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare, infrastructure development, and agricultural growth. According to him, his campaign is focused on delivering sustainable development and improving the welfare of residents across the state.
Oyebamiji also called on supporters to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the electioneering period and urged political actors to embrace issue-based campaigns while respecting democratic principles.
He reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to conducting a people-centred campaign and expressed confidence that the electorate would support the party’s vision for a more prosperous Osun State.
