‘You’re Indeed A Man Of Masses Beyond Doubts’, APC Professional Council Lauds Senator Yayi’s N1.5bn Empowerment For Ogun Farmers, Market Women

The Ogun State chapter of the APC Professional Council has described the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan (Yayi), as a man of the masses for his N1.5 billion empowerment programme for farmers, market men and women across Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West Senatorial Districts.
The Council described the initiative as one of the most impactful grassroots economic intervention programmes by a federal lawmaker in recent times, noting that it has provided much-needed relief to thousands of beneficiaries while boosting small businesses and agricultural productivity across the state.
In a statement issued on Saturday in Abeokuta, the Director General of the APC Professional Council in Ogun State, Hon.(Dr.) Bayo Adenekan said Senator Adeola’s commitment to improving the welfare of ordinary Nigerians through sustained empowerment programmes has further endeared him to the people of Ogun State.
According to Adenekan, the distribution of cash grants, agricultural inputs, tractors, seedlings, fertilizers and other business support packages to market men, market women and farmers demonstrate Senator Adeola’s unwavering dedication to inclusive economic development and poverty reduction.
The Council further stated that the empowerment scheme aligns with the economic reform agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by supporting local production, strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises, and encouraging agricultural expansion, and here in Ogun State, the programme aligns with key pillars including; Social welfare& wellbeing and Agriculture pillar of Governor Abiodun thus, taking it to another level.
Adenekan who is also the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Finance and Development partners, noted that Senator Adeola has consistently distinguish himself through people-oriented programmes that transcend political affiliations, stressing that his interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth development and economic empowerment did not just begin now but over the years and which have continued to make meaningful impacts across Ogun State.
The APC Professional Council urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the grants and equipment provided, emphasizing that the success of the programme would be measured by the sustainability of the businesses and farming ventures established through the intervention.
The Council also encouraged other elected representatives and political office holders to emulate Senator Adeola’s example by initiating programmes capable of improving the living standards of their constituents and stimulating local economic growth.
While reaffirming the Council’s support for Senator Adeola’s developmental initiatives, the APC Professional Council expressed confidence that the lawmaker would continue to champion policies and programmes that uplift the people of Ogun State and contribute significantly to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
“The APC Professional Council is proud to identify with this remarkable initiative. At a time when many citizens are grappling with economic challenges, Senator Solomon Adeola Olamilekan has once again demonstrated visionary leadership by investing over N1.5 billion to empower thousands of hardworking farmers and traders across Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West”.
