Winger fined €60k for leaving Spain during pandemic without Celta’s permission
Pione Sisto has been fined 60,000 euros by Celta Vigo for skipping confinement and traveling to Denmark on March 27.
The winger is back in Spain but has not taken part in training with the rest of his teammates in this first week back at work.
Celta Vigo will begin collective training on Monday after passing the second round of COVID-19 tests, as part of the third phase of the protocol drawn up by LaLiga.
Sisto refused to undergo the first round of tests but participated in the second.
“He is a player that I would like to have training here like everyone, but at the moment it cannot be that way,” Celta head coach Oscar Garcia explained on Thursday.
President Carlos Mourino also indicated that Sisto has “a problem” and he is not collaborating with the club to resolve it.
