Wife of the lawmaker representing Ipaye/Malete/Olooru State Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Lawal Ayanshola, and his two children have been abducted by unknown gunmen.
Reports say they were abducted at their Shao residence in Moro Local Government area of the state.
The gunmen were said to have stormed the residence of the lawmaker shooting sporadically before abducting the three victims.
Kwara State police command, on Tuesday, confirmed the incident abduction of the wife of a serving lawmaker in the State House of Assembly and her two children.
Spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday, said details of the abduction were still sketchy.
He, however, promised to make the comprehensive details of the incident available at the right time.
