Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour Announces Death of Mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour
The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has announced the passing of his mother, Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso).
The announcement was made on Monday through a statement shared on Rhodes-Vivour’s official X account and signed on behalf of the family by Olawale Rhodes-Vivour.
According to the family, the late Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour lived a life defined by love, devotion and unwavering commitment to her family.
The statement read: “With sadness in our hearts and gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the call to glory of Nkechi Stella Rhodes-Vivour (née Waboso), a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. The epitome of love.”
The family added that she would be deeply missed and prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul, saying, “She will be sorely missed. May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace.”
No details were provided regarding the cause of her death or her age. However, the family said funeral arrangements would be announced at a later date.
The announcement has since drawn condolences from political associates, supporters and well-wishers across Nigeria, who have expressed sympathy with the Rhodes-Vivour family during this period of mourning.
