Democracy Day : Olumide Osoba greets Nigerians, stressed the need for all to chart strategic plans for sustainable growth


A member of the House of Representatives, representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal constituency and the chairman House Committee on Sports, Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba has joined the government and good of the Federal Republic of Nigeria both at home and abroad to commemorate the year 2022 June 12 and democracy day celebration, a day with symbolic events that shaped the existence of democratic settings in the Nation’s history.
In a congratulatory message to all Nigerians released through his Media Office, Hon. Olumide Osoba acknowledged that Nigeria’s democracy has witnessed tremendous growth over the years, although not without challenges just like every other countries of the world, hence the reason to celebrate the gains that comes with it so far and the need to chart new ways for further growth and sustainable development.
“I Congratulate all Nigerians in this milestones celebration as it affects our democratic principles as a Nation, it is worthy of note to look back, appraise the journey so far, where we are at the moment and where we intend to be, give God the glory and come up with strategic plans capable of actualizing the end result of the Projects Nigeria”

So, let us stay in the creed and virtues of justice, equity, and love which makes democracy a solid ground of freedom, good governance, peace, and hope.
As we go into the 2023 general elections, let us me reminded that a credible electoral process is no doubt fundamental to making democracy work for us as a people, as it sufficiently empowers citizens to freely choose or reject their political leadership, thereby serving as an incentive for good governance”. he said
