BBNaija Season 11: Nomy Disqualified After Repeated Rule Violations
LAGOS — Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Whitney Nneoma Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, has been disqualified from the reality television show following repeated violations of Big Brother’s instructions.
Nomy’s disqualification was announced on Monday, September 7, 2026, bringing her time in the “Show Ya Sef” house to an abrupt end.
Big Brother cited her continued defiance and disregard for instructions, rules and punishments as the reason for revoking her privilege to remain in the competition.
The latest incident stemmed from a punishment imposed on Nomy after a Head of House challenge.
She had been designated as a “Benchwarmer” and instructed to remain on a particular bench while wearing a specified vest. However, Big Brother confronted her after she abandoned both the designated bench and the vest.
The development followed several previous warnings over her conduct in the house.
Earlier in the season, Nomy had been punished for failing to comply with the conditions attached to her Benchwarmer role, which included wearing the assigned outfit, remaining on the designated bench and carrying out specified cleaning duties.
On August 9, Big Brother issued her a strike and described it as her final warning over her continued defiance.
Despite the warning, Nomy subsequently faced further cautions over lateness, disobedience and failure to participate in some mandatory activities.
Following Monday’s announcement, Big Brother gave Nomy 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house.
Her disqualification means she is no longer eligible to compete for the ₦160 million grand prize or participate in the remaining activities of the Season 11 competition.
Nomy, 26, is a fashion designer and entrepreneur from Anambra State who was raised in Lagos. She is associated with the fashion brand Ambition by Witme and studied sociology in Kumasi, Ghana.
During her time on the show, Nomy became known for her outspoken personality and strong-willed approach, with her repeated clashes over house rules making her one of the more discussed housemates among viewers.
Her exit also makes her the first housemate to be disqualified on disciplinary grounds in the current season, rather than being evicted through the regular voting process.
Nomy’s disqualification comes just a day after Gerald Adebija was evicted during the Sunday live show, leaving the remaining housemates to continue their race towards the Season 11 finale.
With Nomy’s departure, attention will now turn to how the remaining housemates navigate Big Brother’s rules as the competition enters another crucial stage.
