APGA Backs Tinubu’s Re-Election, Denies Support for APC Candidates The All Progressives Grand

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has clarified its political position ahead of the 2027 general elections, stating that its support is strictly for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and does not extend to candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The clarification was made by APGA chieftain Chinedu Obigwe, who explained that the party’s endorsement is limited to the presidential level. He cautioned the public against misleading interpretations suggesting that APGA has formed a broader alliance with APC candidates contesting legislative or state positions.
Obigwe further noted that the position reflects the directive of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, who has maintained a cooperative relationship with the federal government while preserving APGA’s independence in other electoral contests. The party reaffirmed its commitment to fielding its own candidates and strengthening its political structure at the state and national levels.
