2027: Ondo Senator Appeals for APC Unity After Party Primaries

The senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, has called on aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to embrace reconciliation and remain united following the party’s recently concluded primary elections.
Ipinsagba urged party members who were dissatisfied with the outcome of the primaries to accept the results in the interest of the party’s success in the 2027 general elections. He stressed that internal disagreements should not weaken the APC’s chances at the polls.
The lawmaker said reconciliation and mutual understanding were essential to preserving the party’s strength, noting that every political contest naturally produces both winners and losers. He appealed to supporters and aspirants to place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions.
According to him, unity among party members remains the most effective strategy for retaining the confidence of voters and securing victory in future elections. He encouraged aggrieved members to support all candidates who emerged through the party’s internal democratic process rather than deepen divisions within the APC.
Ipinsagba also commended party leaders for conducting the primaries and expressed confidence that ongoing reconciliation efforts would restore harmony across the party’s structures in Ondo State ahead of the 2027 elections.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working with other stakeholders to strengthen the APC, urging members to close ranks and focus on delivering electoral success for the party in the state and across the country.
