Tola Banjo congratulates Biodun Oyebanji on his electoral victory, says it is victory for Democracy


Following the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at the last Saturday governorship elections in Ekiti State, congratulatory messages have started to pour in for the Governor-elect.
One of such is from a Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo who described Oyebanji’s victory as well deserved and victory for the people of Ekiti State.
The ex-lawmaker in a statement issued on Sunday via his Media office, attributed his victory to his achievements while working closely with the incumbent governor, Kayode Fayemi as the Secretary to the Government of Ekiti State which gave birth to tremendous growth and development in the State.
“I extend my warm felicitations to you on your well-deserved victory in the just concluded Ekiti State gubernatorial elections, For those of us who have keenly followed your campaign Manifestoes, your victory did not come as a surprise.
Your victory was a triumph for democracy and the Ekiti people”.
Hon. Banjo who noted that the people’s power as expressed in the Ekiti election, remained the most potent force in any democracy.
” I Congratulate you once again, the people of Ekiti State and the entire All Progressives Congress, APC family as well as the independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for conducting a rancour free and one of the most credible elections in the Nation’s history.
With their loud and irrefutable votes, the people of Ekiti have sent a strong message that the people’s choice will always prevail and that APC still standing tall and strong above all”, he said.
