Tinubu Has Delivered Two Major Milestones for Southeast, Says APC Chieftain Umenzekwe
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Modestus Umenzekwe, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as two landmark achievements that have significantly benefited Nigeria’s Southeast region.
Speaking on the administration’s impact, Umenzekwe identified the establishment of the Southeast Development Commission (SEDC) as one of the President’s most important legacies for the region. He said the commission is expected to accelerate infrastructure renewal, economic development, youth empowerment, and the rehabilitation of communities affected by years of neglect.
The APC leader also praised President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Senator Dave Umahi as Minister of Works, noting that the former Ebonyi State governor has played a major role in driving the execution of critical road and bridge projects across the country.
According to Umenzekwe, the Tinubu administration has demonstrated a commitment to equitable governance by ensuring that the Southeast is adequately represented in key national development initiatives and strategic government appointments.
He maintained that the administration’s policies have created new opportunities for regional growth while strengthening national unity through inclusive governance and infrastructure investment.
Umenzekwe urged residents of the Southeast to continue supporting the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that ongoing projects and reforms would deliver greater economic prosperity and sustainable development to the region.
