Tinubu Alleges Powerful Cabals Fueling Nigeria’s Insecurity Wanted Him Eliminated
Bola Ahmed Tinubu has alleged that powerful cabals benefiting from insecurity in Nigeria once plotted against him, claiming some individuals wanted him dead because of his determination to confront the nation’s security challenges and reform the system.
Speaking during a public engagement, President Tinubu stated that entrenched interests profiting from instability and violence across the country resisted efforts aimed at restoring peace, stability, and national development.
According to the President, some of these powerful groups became uncomfortable with his political stance and reform agenda, leading to alleged threats against his life.
Tinubu maintained that despite the pressure and political attacks, he remained committed to confronting insecurity and rebuilding confidence in Nigeria’s leadership and institutions.
The Nigerian leader stressed that insecurity had become a major obstacle to economic growth, investment, and national unity, adding that his administration would continue to strengthen security operations across different parts of the country.
He also assured Nigerians that his government would not surrender to criminal elements, bandits, kidnappers, or sponsors of violence undermining the nation’s peace and stability.
The President’s comments have since generated widespread reactions across social media and political circles, with supporters praising his courage while critics demanded more decisive actions to tackle insecurity nationwide.
Nigeria has continued to battle several security challenges, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, communal clashes, and attacks by armed groups in different regions of the country.
Tinubu reiterated that national security remains one of the top priorities of his administration, promising sustained collaboration with security agencies and stakeholders to address the crisis and protect lives and property.
