Kidnappers demands N50million Ransom for abducted Ondo CAC Members


Abductors of the 25 members of the Christ Apostolic church, Oke Igan, Akure, Ondo State, have demanded a ransom of N50 million for their release.
The 25 worshippers were kidnapped along the Owo/Ifon/Benin Expressway on Friday afternoon while they were traveling to Ifon for the Christian wake keep service of one of their church members.
Eight out of the twenty-five kidnapped worshippers have been rescued as of Saturday, while the remaining 17 are still in the custody of the kidnappers.
Benjamin Akanmu, a regional superintendent of CAC in Odubanjo regional headquarters, Akure, who confirmed the demand for ransom payment by the kidnappers, said he received a call from the gunmen through one of the victims mobile phone asking for the immediate payment of the N50 million ransom.
