Ogun Judiciary elevates Omolara Osanyin to Senior Magistrate I


Call her a trailblazer, an achiever or a goal getter, you may just be overly right as all the aforementioned qualities personified Barrister Suliat Omolara Osanyin who was recently elevated to the position of Senior Magistrate I in the Ogun State Judiciary.
As said by a school of thought “what is worth doing at all, is worth doing well” in a time when the Nation’s judicial sector is facing an uphill task in terms of creditability, honesty and serving as the last hope for a common Man, one woman has distinguished herself to be a symbol of a rebranded, true and just judicial system in Ogun State culminating to her being recognized and elevated to the position of Senior Magistrate I.
The Nigeria Standard recently conducted an Investigation into Barrister Suliat Omolara Osanyin’s personality, many described the new Senior Magistrate I as well reputed, forthright and decent law professional who knows what her onions worth.
Her lordship has availed herself, creditably, in these past years and has earned her respect from her colleagues, judicial staff and litigants.
Joined Ogun State Civil Service in year 2009 as State Counsel Grade level 09 and served in Civil Litigation and Advisory Services Department and later in Citizens Right Department, Barrister Osanyin is an experienced lawyer and had seen it all before her latest elevation in Ogun State judiciary, she is, therefore, a personality not expected to descend into an arena of conflict to satiate pettiness, malice, partisanship or greed.
Thanking God for His Mercies and Benevolence in her life, Omolara Osanyin appreciated God for the journey so far with a promise that she will never take any of God’s blessings in her life for granted.
Speaking on the challenges confronting the Nation’s judiciary, she noted that the Nation’s judicial system is facing challenges just like every other judicial sectors in all parts of the world but have strong belief that Nigeria judicial sector will surmount those challenges with credible people at the helms of affairs.
She equally noted that It is imperative to also mention the tireless efforts of passionate people advocating for continuing education and mentoring of young lawyers to ensure global best practices particularly in criminal and civil laws as well as speedy dispensation of Justice.
Humble, decent, intelligent, industrious and honest, Senior Magistrate Omolara Osanyin will make any decent shortlist where merit is the basic yardstick and unassuming lady of uncommon patriotism and dedication to duty, Ogun State stands to benefit from her industry.
Speaking to Nigeria Standard Magazine, Barr. Omolara Osanyin urged young lawyers in Ogun State and the Nation at large to discharge their responsibilities as judicial officers without let or hindrance, saying that they must justify the sacred trust reposed in them by the people.
“ To have a society where Justice, equity and fairness prevails, it is imperative for young lawyers to justify the trust reposed in them”, she said.
Before her elevation as Senior Magistrate I, Barrister Omolara Osanyin was formerly Grievance Redress Mechanism Manager (Chief State Counsel) in the Ogun State Civil Service.
