BBNaija Winner Temi Nkem Reveals Two-Year Nigeria Plan, Investment Strategy
Big Brother Naija Season 11 winner Temi Nkem has outlined her plans for life after the reality show, revealing that she intends to remain in Nigeria for at least two years while investing her winnings, completing her education and exploring opportunities across Africa.
The 21-year-old reality star disclosed her plans during a post-show event at the MultiChoice Hall, where she reflected on her BBNaija experience and discussed what comes next after securing the ₦90 million cash component of her prize package.
Rather than immediately relocating abroad, Temi said she wants to use the next two years to understand and explore opportunities in Nigeria and other African countries before travelling farther afield, including destinations in the Middle East.
For the BBNaija winner, the decision represents more than a temporary stay. Temi, who was born and raised in London, said she wants to build on the opportunities created by her victory and discover what Nigeria and the wider African market have to offer before embarking on extensive international travel.
A major part of her post-BBNaija strategy is financial management. Temi said she plans to invest a substantial portion of her ₦90 million cash prize, explaining that her background in Accounting and Finance, alongside additional studies in Treasury, would help her make informed decisions about growing the money.
She also plans to return to her studies and complete her university education online. Beyond investment and education, Temi said she intends to support her parents and reserve some of the money for herself, including taking a holiday after her 70-day experience in the BBNaija house.
Temi’s approach comes shortly after she officially received the major components of her ₦160 million BBNaija prize package, including the ₦90 million cash prize and a brand-new Hyundai SUV. She was formally presented with the prizes in Lagos on Tuesday, two days after winning the Season 11 finale.
Her victory came after she secured 25.87 per cent of the final votes, narrowly finishing ahead of Aikou, who recorded 23.68 per cent. The result made Temi the fifth female winner in Big Brother Naija history.
Beyond the prize money, Temi’s immediate plans suggest an attempt to turn her newfound visibility into longer-term opportunities. She has indicated interest in building content and exploring opportunities that could emerge from her new public profile while maintaining her academic and financial goals.
Her decision to stay in Nigeria also gives her an opportunity to deepen her connection with the Nigerian audience that supported her BBNaija journey. Temi said she wants to see what the country and Africa have to offer before eventually broadening her travels.
For now, the BBNaija champion appears focused on turning her reality-TV victory into a foundation for the next phase of her life—combining investment, education, family support and entertainment opportunities while spending the next two years exploring possibilities in Nigeria.
