In a Workers’ Day message delivered through his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, suspended Rivers Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts in promoting labour reforms and advancing policies aimed at creating healthier and safer work environments. Fubara, who is facing political turbulence in the state, used the occasion to express solidarity with the workers of Rivers State, commending their resilience in the face of challenges.

Fubara acknowledged the federal government’s role under President Tinubu in advancing labour reforms and policies supporting a safer working environment, and expressed his gratitude to Rivers workers for their steadfast patriotism and integrity, despite the ongoing political turbulence.
He reiterated his administration’s dedication to workers’ welfare, calling on all employers, public and private, to respect labour laws and uphold the dignity of every worker. Fubara also urged continuous improvements in working conditions, in line with legal standards and moral responsibility.
