The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has approved Oxibiotics herbal produced by Peculiar Projects Nigeria Limited as an immune boaster to prevent diseases including COVID-19.
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday by the Managing Director, Paul Oni.
NAFDAC gave the approval a year after the agency reportedly disrupted the unveiling of the anti-COVID19 herb.
It would be recalled that NAFDAC officials had on 2nd of July, 2020 ordered the cancelation of the unveiling of the Oxibiotics herbal mixture.
The officials further stormed Peculiar Projects Nigeria Limited factory and sealed it over an allegation that the herb has not been certified.
Oni however in the statement said the company had used the last one year to go through the NAFDAC process in getting the herb certified.
He revealed that the Oxibiotics herb has been certified with NAFDAC number A7-100057L.
The herbal medical expert further disclosed that the Herbiotics medicine powder has been renewed as an Anti-Oxidant with NAFDAC number A7-2348L.
His statement reads, “Peculiar Projects Nigeria Limited manufacturers of HERBIOTICS and OXIBIOTICS wishes to inform the general public that their Herbal Immune Booster, OXIBIOTICS Herbal Mixture has been certified by NAFDAC as OXIBIOTICS Herbal Mixture A7-100057L an Immune Booster and renewed HERBIOTIC Herbal Medicine Powder as an Anti-Oxidant, HERBIOTIC Herbal Medicine Powder A7-2348L.
“This is sequel to the aborted Press Conference of the 2nd of June, 2020 where the Company Managing Director, Engineer Paul Oni was stopped from introducing OXIBIOTICS as cure for corvid-19.
“Afterwards, the Peculiar Projects Nigeria Limited went through the NAFDAC process and OXIBIOTICS was certified as an Immune Booster, OXIBIOTICS Herbal Mixture A7-100057L.”
