Ogun Politician, Tola Banjo lauds Lagos East Senator, Tokunbo Abiru for distributing over 150 bags of rice to flood victims in Lagos State

Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has lauded the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mikhail Abiru for donating over 150 bags of 50kg rice to victims of flood disaster in Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area and other LCDA and Local Government Areas of Lagos State to mitigate the challenges faced by the victims as a result of the unfortunate incident.

Commending the gesture by the National Assembly Member, Hon. Banjo applauded Senator Abiru for his show of concern since the flood disaster ravaged the communities noting that said such palliative is not only timely, but could definitely cushion the hardship been faced amongst the victims.

” This recent gesture by the People’s senator, Senator Tokunbo Abiru is not only surprising but also commendable coming at a time when an average Nigerians are facing the battle for economic survival not to talk of people who have lost their valuables to Natural disaster”

“I strongly believe these would go a long way in assisting the victims begin life all over, I sincerely want to appreciate Senator Abiru for not loosing sight of his responsibilities as a critical stakeholder in the mission to re-build a greater Lagos State and Prosperous Nigeria.

“You have further demonstrated your uncommon Leadership style and quality representation which has endeared you to many even beyond your senatorial district, Hon. Banjo said.”

Representing the Senator,Otunba Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle presented the food items to Council Chairmen of the areas badly impacted by the flood which includes Odo-Ogun, Ajegunle, Owode-Elede, Osho-Ogun, Agboyi-town, all under Agboyi- Ketu LCDA and areas in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA such as Agiliti 2, Maidan, Orisha/Isheri , Ajegunle/ Idera/ Kiokio, Isheri- North and Akinpelu communities.

The council chairmen, one after another,  expressed gratitude to the Senator for his empathy and kindness towards the people, particularly during this challenging economic period.
