The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ogun state chapter on Friday has called off the one week warning strike
The body after meeting with the state government at governor’s office directed their members in the state to resume work from Monday.
The chairman of the body, Comrade Emmanuel Bankole after meeting with the state government at governor’s office directed their members in the state to resume work from Monday.
He said that the labour has been able to get the commitment of the state government on its demands.
Bankole said, “on behalf of organized labour in the state, I want to inform you that, arising from MOU signed today (Friday), the organized labour have called off the strike. We have been able to get the commitment of government and I want to implore our members to resume work. ”
The organised labour in the state had on Wednesday declared a warning strike due to state government refusal to implement new minimum wage, payment of gratuity, arrears among others.
