Ogun Monarch, Olu Of Igbogila, Oba Osimhade Olanloye, Passes Away At 96
In a significant loss for the community, the Olu of Igbogila land in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Oba Ebenezer Osingade Olanloye, has peacefully joined his ancestors at the age of 96 years.
The announcement of the revered monarch’s passing was made by the Erelu of Igbogila land, High Chief (Mrs) Margaret Olutayo Olaotan, in a statement released on Wednesday.
The statement, issued on behalf of both the Igbogila Traditional Council and Council of Chiefs, revealed that Oba Ebenezer Olanloye breathed his last on Saturday, 2nd of March, 2024.
“We invite the general public to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of our highly revered Kabiyesi,” remarked Chief (Mrs) Margaret Olutayo Olaotan.
However, the statement also urged the public to disregard an online publication allegedly signed by Akinlolu Atanda Ajibade.
The statement clarified that Ajibade had previously been removed by the late Oba E.O Olanloye, the Olu Of Igbogila land, during his lifetime.
The community mourns the loss of a distinguished traditional ruler and seeks solace in honoring his legacy.
