Court Stops Obaseki From Participating In PDP Guber. Primary Election


A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has stopped the embattled Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki from participating in People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial primary election which is scheduled to hold on 25 of June, 2020 in the State.
Suit no: FHC /PHC/CS/C9/2020, between Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama Plaintiff/applicants and Defendants , prince Uche Secondus, Emmanuel Ogidi, honorable Kingsley chinda, Chief debekeme Boyleyefa, senator James manager, hon. Barrister Ajibola Muraina, People Democratic Party, Godwin Nogheghasa, Obaseki, Independent National Electoral Commission
It reads ”Upon this motion exparte dated and filed 22nd day of June 2020 coming up before this honorable court, where in the plaintiff /applicant praying for the following reliefs
”An order of interim injunction, restraining 1 2 3 4 5 6 and 7 defendants from allowing 8th defendants or any member or non member other than those that have purchased forms and were screened within the time stated in the said time table to contest the 7th defendant primary election rescheduled to hold on 25th June for the purpose of nominating its candidate for the year 2020 governorship election pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice for interlocutory.
