Ogun Ex-Commissioner, Rotarian Adijat Adeleye installed as 45th Hope President, Rotary club of Abeokuta

Former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Ogun State, Rotarian Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye has been Installed as the 45th Hope President of Rotary Club of Abeokuta, taking up the mantle of leadership for 2023 to 2024 Rotary year.
Speaking during the Investiture/Fund Raising ceremony held at the Reception centre, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta, the guest speaker, past District Governor, Rotary District 9110, Bola Oyebade said the beauty of service only radiates when one serves from the heart with small and continuous acts of love and kindness.
Extolling the virtues of the newly installed President, Rotarian Adijat Adeleye, the past District Governor said he had no doubt in her ability to rally support towards the Rotary quest to serve humanity from any position of leadership and from any economic standpoint, using the opportunity to call on guests and members present to support Abeokuta Rotary Club to enable them do more charitable work for nation building.
Congratulating the President whom she described as an embodiment of love and community service, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State and Mother of the Day, Engineer Noimot Salako Oyedele appreciated members of the Rotary club for being a reliable partner in the cause of building a nation where hope is rekindled and vulnerable members of the society are being given sense of belonging through their various social and Humanitarian projects.
Engineer Noimot Salako Oyedele encouraged all members of Abeokuta Rotary club to support Hon. Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye as she has over time exhibited the highest degree of philanthropy and service to humanity, saying and as such worthy to lead an organisation with the sole goal of improving standards of living in rural communities and human capital development.
Shortly after her investiture, Rotarian Adijat Adeleye in her acceptance speech said the theme for the Rotary year “CREATE HOPE IN THE WORLD” is apt, a power call to action that echoes the transformative mindset of Rotary International to restore hope, help the world heal from destructive conflicts and in turn help achieve lasting change for people.
Appreciating members for their unwavering commitment and support, the 45th President, Rotary club of Abeokuta promised that together, hope will be created, peace will be engendered and progress will be facilitated across all strata of the society under her leadership.
” Service lies at the heart of Rotary and through our collective strength, we will alleviate poverty, promote education, support healthcare initiatives and protect the environment”
” I am deeply honored to lead this extraordinary group of individuals who exemplified the true spirit of service above self and together we will inspire, transform and create hope in the world” she said.
Earlier in his Valedictory Speech, the outgoing president, Dr. Isaac Bankole expressed absolute confidence in the capability of Rotarian Adijat Adeleye to further carry the toga of service which serves as cornerstone of Rotary club.
” I am confident that with Rotarian Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye, Rotary club of Abeokuta will continue to flourish and soar to even greater heights” he said.
Aside Induction of new members into the Rotary club of Abeokuta, intellectual display from youths and performances from cultural troupes, highpoint of the event was the recognition of eminent personalities who distinguished themselves in the service to humanity one of which is the immediate past commissioner for Housing in Ogun state, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi and the Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo.
