The 2023 Democracy Day Celebration in Ogun State will hold on Monday, June 12 ,2023 at the M.K.O Abiola International Stadium, Kuto ,Abeokuta by 10am
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, Mr Kehinde Onasanya indicated that the celebration ,which is in honour of the acclaimed winner of the June 12 1993 Presidential Election, and the country’s symbol of democracy, late Chief Moshood Kasimawo Abiola ,GCFR , will feature March past by students, members of voluntary organisations, artisans Trade Unions, as well as tributes and solidarity messages by Civil Society Organisations, Pro- Democracy groups and Human Right activists .
the statement stated further that , Ogun State Governor , Prince Dapo Abiodun ,CON will Deliver the ” DEMOCRACY DAY ” address to the people of the State at the occasion.
The stadium rally would be preceded by a prayer at the Chief MKO Abiola family house Gbagura,Abeokuta at 9am.
