Lawan, Atiku, Sani, Others React To The Death Of Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari
Following the death of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Mallam Abba Kyari, prominent Nigerians have reacted and mourned the passing away of the President’s right hand man.
According to the Presidency in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, said that the late Chief of Staff passed away on Friday night after battling with Coronavirus.
While reacting to Kyari’s demise via his Twitter, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, who was saddened by the his death, said that his demise comes at his own appointed time.
“Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un! Death is inevitable, it only comes at our individually appointed time. May Allah forgive the shortcomings of late Mallam Abba Kyari and grant him speedy passage to Aljannatu Firdausi”
The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, also via his Twitter handle, said that he is saddened by the demise of the Chief of Staff.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. I am saddened by the death of Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari. May Allah SWT comfort his family, forgive his sins and grant him AlJannah Firdaus. Ameen”
While also reacting to the demise of Kyari, the former Senator Shehu Sani via his Twitter handle tweeted, “Abba Kyari; The President has lost a trusted & loyal friend.A man who took the bullets of his master with smiles,calmness & silence.We knew his cap & his colors but never his mind or his own side of his story.He will be missed as a Punchman or a punchbag. RIP AK”
In his own reaction, the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mele Kyari, who expressed his sadness over the Chief of Staff’s death said, “May Allah forgive Mallam Abba Kyari and have mercy upon him. Was a truly good man, profoundly faithful and loyal to our country”
However, the Presidency in its statement stated that the late Kyari’s funeral arrangement will be announced shortly.
