Isese Day : Tola Banjo greets Ogun Traditionalists, enjoin them to pray for Nigeria’s greatness, prosperity
As traditionalists in Ogun State joined their counterparts across the other parts of the Oduduwa heritage ( Yorubaland) to mark this year’s Isese Day celebration, Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon Tola Banjo has encouraged Traditional worshipers across the state to seize the opportunity of the day to appease to God to heal Nigeria and brings prosperity to all.
While wishing them happy celebrations, the Ogun opposition leader implored them to make the occasion not only peaceful and fun-filled but another opportunity to pray for the growth and development of the good people of Ogun State.
” I want to encourage our people in the traditional circle to use this celebration to move closer to their roots, embrace the richness in African culture and traditions in the interest of a greater Yorubaland and Nigeria at large” he said.
It would be recalled that Governors of four South-West states declared Monday as a holiday for all public servants and residents of the states in commemoration of Isese festival which take place yesterday Sunday 20th of August, 2023.
The States are Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Osun
