Imo indigenes honour Asiwaju Olalekan Olakunle as Seriki Oje

The Sons and Daughters of Imo community, Abeokuta Ogun State have given the Seriki Oje title to Chief Olalekan Olakunle, the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo.

The Lapinni of Imo, Kayode Ogunyombo who announced the new title on behalf of the indigenes said the title was to appreciate Asiwaju for his contribution to the development of Imo land.

Ogunyombo noted that Asiwaju has impacted heavily to matters that concern the community.


He stressed that the title is one out of others that will be given to Asiwaju for putting the community first.

In his response, Asiwaju Olakunle appreciated the title, describing it as reason to do more.

He also promised not to disappoint the indigenes, noting that the development of the community will be his concern.
