Ahead of the All Progressives Congress, APC Primaries in Ogun State, the delegates to choose the party’s standard bearers across elective positions needs to re awaken their subconscious minds that for electorates, not having the opportunity to engage with those that represent them at the various level of governance in the country is a big challenge and this does not make them to be accountable to the electorates nor evaluated based on the expectations of the people that voted them in and as well the need for the people to put forward the best heads.
But there is one woman in Ogun central senatorial district who stands tall above all and always feels the need to identify with her people no matter the circumstances, she has continuously worked towards ensuring that people of her constituency have access to dividends of democracy even at times using her personal resources to provide succour of immeasurable values.
As a member of the Ogun state House of Assembly Hon. Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo resolutely stand with the people, ditching out countless of developmental and laudable Initiatives to her constituents, bridging the gap between the rich and poor, empowering the youths, community and infrastructural developmental efforts worthy of note, many of which stand tall in her constituency and still remain a reference point.
Her decision to throw his her into the ring for a seat as a member of the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly in 2023 has brought so much excitement and rekindled hope to the people of Ifo, Ewekoro Federal constituency.
Shortly after her declaration, the people felt assured that, the Messiah which the constituency have always been expecting is here as her philanthropic gestures to all the local governments in the constituency endeared her to everyone including traditional rulers in the area.
Hon. Adijat is not the type that always assumed that the dividend of democratic governance is in the wads of naira shared at any forum but a consummate, passionate and selfless personality that understand the need for self growth by wanting her people to be economically empowered, the resuscitation of moribund federal and state government projects amongst other things through qualitative and efficient representation top her agenda.
As the party goes into primaries later this month, there is need for delegates to tow the path of collective growth by chosing a woman capable and equiped for the job, not another political jobber waiting to pounce and milk the future of the people particularly the youths dry, thereby subjecting them to more years of underdevelopment, agonizing tales, unfulfilled promises but the need rewrite history by giving a proven performer in Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo a chance to change the Narratives.
