Gov. Abiodun appoints Transition Committees for 20 Ogun LGAs
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Friday appointed transition committees for the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, Mr Kunle Somorin in Abeokuta, the State capital, indicated that the new Caretaker Committee members were chosen in furtherance of the Government’s philosophy of inclusive and participatory governance.
The elected Chairmen completed their tenures in October 2019. The transition committees will be in place until the Ogun State Electoral Commission (OGSEIC) conducts election to pick new Council Chairmen.
Each of the committees comprises of a Chairman, a Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government and two members.
Some of the Committees Chairmen are: Hon. Ayo Shomide – Abeokuta South, Prince Tunde Tella – Abeokuta North, Fatai Mustapha – Obafemi Owode, Semiu, Bola Lawal – Odeda, Hon. Fola Salami – Ifo, Mr. Muyiwa Babayemi – Ewekoro and Olugbenga Olugbile – Ijebu Ode.
Others are: Femi Onokoya – Odogbolu, Segun Odunola – Ijebu North East, Rotimi Akinsanya – Ikenne, Gbenga Banjo Baruwa – Sagamu, Biodun Somoye – Remo North, Jaiyeola Yekeen – Ijebu North, Falujo Callistus – Ijebu East, Femi Onanuga – Ogun Waterside, Fagbenro Olabode – Yewa South, Shuaib M. Adeoshun – Ijebu North, Olusola Oke – Imeko Afon and Wasiu Lawal – Ado Odo-ota.
