Fuel subsidy: FG re-opens Negotiation with Labour

Officials of the Organised Labour are meeting with representatives of the Federal Government at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on resumed talks on measures to cushion the harsh effects of petrol subsidy removal.

The meeting was postponed until today to allow for consultations after the last session where some agreements were reached and Labour agreed to suspend its planned strike until today.

The meeting is expected to take decision on the demands by the Organised Labour and other measures to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.

Present at today’s meeting are the delegation of the NLC led by its President, Joe Ajaero, and the delegation of the TUC led by its President, Festus Osifo.
