Esure Town, Lagos Set for Three-Day Celebration of Life for Adolphus Oladele Okuwobi at 90
The family of the late Mr. Adolphus Oladele Okuwobi has announced the burial arrangements for their beloved patriarch, whose remarkable journey on earth came to a close at the age of 90.
A statement issued by the family revealed that the final burial ceremonies will hold between June 18 and June 20, 2026, as family members, friends, associates, and well-wishers gather to celebrate the life and legacy of a man remembered for his integrity, wisdom, and commitment to family and community development.
The three-day programme will commence on Thursday, June 18, 2026, with the departure of the deceased’s body from Ayinke House, Ikeja, Lagos, to his hometown, Esure Town in Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, where a wake-keep ceremony will be held in his honour.
Funeral service for the late patriarch is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, at his compound, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The service is expected to attract family members, community leaders, religious dignitaries, and associates who will gather to pay their last respects and celebrate a life well lived.
The burial activities will culminate on Saturday, June 20, 2026, with a grand reception at Anchor Event Place, Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos, starting at 12 noon.
Adding glamour to the celebration of life, guests will be entertained by renowned musicians Tolu Obey and Fuji music icon Amb. Sulaimon Adio, popularly known as Atawewe.
The family described the late Mr. Okuwobi as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose legacy of love, discipline, and service will continue to inspire generations.
To ensure a befitting farewell for the revered nonagenarian, the event has been packaged and is being managed by renowned event planner, Mrs. Jumoke Adebayo, MD/CEO of 1st JMK Events, whose expertise is expected to add elegance and excellence to the three-day celebration.
