Drama as Ogun LG Chairmen Prostrate before Gov. Abiodun seeks forgiveness over petition alleging Diversion of N153billion LG allocation
The Association of Local Government Chairmen , ALGON, Ogun State Chapter, has tendered an unreserved apology to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun over recent statement by one of its member claiming that the governor hijacked statutory allocation funds meant for Local Government Administration in the State.
The apology was tendered by ALGON chairman, Hon. Emilola Gazal during an emergency meeting with the Governor held at the Governor’s office in Oke-Mosan.
Gazal who is also the Council Chairman of Ijebu-Ode LG on behalf of other members apologized for the inconveniences the report might put the office of the governor in while prostrating along side other members for Abiodun for and begged for forgiveness.
The ALGON chairman said ” Your Excellency sir, we are here today to tender our unreserved apology over a petition written by one of us. We have only come here to beg you as a father you are, as a father of all in the state. I want you to forgive us sir, on behalf of all of us, particularly on behalf of Wale Adedayo, we tender our apology to you sir, please forgive us sir”
Abiodun in his remarks said he has been sincere since his assumption into office, saying that he will continue to ensure that he is guided by all the promises that he made in his course of his journey.
