Dapo Abiodun Victory : Tola Banjo distance self from congratulatory message

Expressed optimism that PDP will reclaim Adebutu's stolen Mandate

A Former Deputy Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly and Leader of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, RT. Hon Tola Banjo has distanced himself from a message going round on media platforms congratulating governor Dapo Abiodun on his re-election victory.

Reacting to the letter with Headline “Tola Banjo Campaign group congratulates Gov. Dapo Abiodun on Re-election” the Ogun Ex-lawmaker said was not a true representation of the facts contained in the body of the story, hence the need for his teeming supporters and members of his political party, People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ogun and the entire citizens to be rest assured that he is solidly behind the various efforts to reclaim Hon. Ladi Adebutu’ Victory that was snatched at gunpoint by the rulling All Progressives Congress, APC via Prince Dapo Abiodun.

” I want to use this opportunity to let my people across the state and particularly in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area to know that the said letter does not emanate from me or any member of my political group, Giant Group, but the handi-work of a greenhorn journalist who failed to cross-check his facts before publishing a story.

“It is more like a comic to see a Tola Adebajo from Ijebu Igbo all of sudden turned Tola Banjo, I am still a member and prominent leader of the PDP and it is my desire to see the party restore the pride of Ogun state to where it belongs having being stagnated by the Dapo Abiodun led government” he said.

While calling on the APC not to oversleep on their short-lived victory as the PDP has gathered concrete evidence to show to the people that their will and the mandate they willingly gave to Ladi Adebutu was subverted by daylight robbers that masquerade themselves as public officers, he encouraged journalists to always cross-check their facts before putting out stories.
