The National Executive Council of the Asiwaju Mobilization Group (AMG) has appointed Dr. Olusegun Okeowo as the Deputy National Coordinator and Lagos State Coordinator of the organization, with immediate effect.
The appointment, conveyed in a letter dated July 20, 2026, was signed by the Convener and National Coordinator of the group, Ambassador Oladeinde David Adekunle.
According to the letter, Dr. Okeowo’s appointment is in recognition of his pedigree, proven track record, extensive experience, and competence in grassroots mobilization and leadership.
The National Executive Council expressed confidence that he would bring dedication, excellence, and strategic direction to the organization as it intensifies efforts toward advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.
As Deputy National Coordinator, Dr. Okeowo is expected to deputize for the National Coordinator during official engagements, oversee and harmonize the activities of state coordinators nationwide, assist in policy formulation and strategic planning, coordinate inter-state collaboration, and strengthen the group’s membership drive, funding initiatives, and national visibility.
In his additional role as Lagos State Coordinator, he will provide leadership for all chapters across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). His responsibilities also include coordinating rallies, town hall meetings, voter sensitization campaigns, grassroots mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective reporting and accountability within the Lagos chapter.
The letter emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda remains a national project requiring committed leadership and grassroots participation, expressing optimism that Dr. Okeowo would play a significant role in delivering the group’s objectives in Lagos State and across Nigeria.
The organization further congratulated Dr. Okeowo on what it described as a well-deserved appointment and expressed confidence that he would justify the trust reposed in him.
The date for his inauguration and the presentation of his Certificate of Office, the letter noted, will be communicated in due course.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the Asiwaju Mobilization Group’s grassroots structure as it expands its organizational activities and political mobilization efforts nationwide.
