Ogun begins post Covid 19 assessment of commercial activities.
The Ogun state Government has began assessment of preparedness by commercial business owners for resumption of economic activities post the Covid 19 period across the state.
The Deputy Governor Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele during a visit to Hi-impact planet, disclosed that the move was aimed at evaluating compliance to the proscribed safety measures to be put in place, as well as measure preparedness for the gradual reopening of the states economy.
Engr. Salako- Oyedele, who was in company of the commissioners for Health, Culture and tourism and local Government and Chieftancy affairs, added that the visit was to get a first hand feel of how key players in the commercial sector have been able to cope and adapted their various Enterprises to suit this period.
” Going around here i have seen that measures are being put in place, so that when the Government decides to lift the restrictions on using facilities like this, this facility will pass and reopen.”
The Deputy Governor while commending the management of the Hi-impact planet for ensuring that all necessary measures are in place as proscribed,including a functional sanitary point and a well equipped medical facility, urged other business owners in the state, to ensure all safety and prevention measures are put in place to safeguard lives
The deputy Governor who is the chairman COVID 19 Taskforce in the state, also informed that the government was working across board with eagerness to reopen all key sectors of it’s economy, while ensuring such reopening is done appropriately and safely.
Responding the CEO Hi-impact planet Prince Yanju Lipede said for them safety comes first and they are highly proactive about what could happen considering the peculiarity of the sector during the COVID19 pandemic period and post.
He insisted that the facility would only open up according to the dictates of the State Government, adding that the measures in place was a display of the capacity on ground ahead of the reopening of recreational activities.
