APC Ibogun Suspends Chief Joju Fadairo, Ward Chairman, Youth Leader Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities and Financial Misconduct
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibogun, Ogun State, has suspended prominent party chieftain Chief Joju Fadairo, alongside a Ward Chairman and the Ward Youth Leader, over allegations of anti-party activities and financial misappropriation.
According to party officials, the disciplinary action followed complaints and preliminary findings suggesting that the affected members engaged in activities deemed detrimental to the unity, progress, and electoral interests of the party within the ward and local government structure.
The party leadership further alleged that the suspended officials were involved in actions that contravened the APC’s constitution, internal regulations, and financial accountability guidelines.
The suspension, party sources said, is intended to preserve discipline and integrity within the party while investigations into the allegations continue. The APC leadership emphasized that the decision was reached after extensive consultations with stakeholders and concerned members.
Officials maintained that the party remains committed to transparency, accountability, and adherence to due process, stressing that no member, regardless of status or political influence, is above the rules and regulations guiding the party.
The development has sparked discussions among party members and political observers in Ogun State, with many viewing the move as part of efforts to strengthen internal cohesion and address issues capable of undermining the party’s structure ahead of future political contests.
Political analysts note that the suspension could have significant implications for local party dynamics, particularly in Ifo Local Government Area, where Chief Fadairo is regarded as a notable political figure.
Meanwhile, the suspended officials are expected to respond to the allegations through the appropriate party channels as investigations and disciplinary proceedings progress.
The APC leadership called on members to remain calm, law-abiding, and committed to the party’s ideals, assuring that fairness and due process would guide all subsequent actions.
