O’kenny congratulates Ogun PDP guber candidate, Adebutu as he receives Certificate of Return
The House of Assembly candidate for Odeda State constituency in Ogun State on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Odewunmi Kehinde popularly known as O’kenny has congratulated the Ogun gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 general elections, Hon.Oladipupo Adebutu for standing tall and above all obstacles set in his way not emerge victorious at the party’s Primary elections which culminated to him being given the certificate of return by the National body of the party, confirming him as the standard bearer of the party in Ogun state.
Hon. Odewunmi was through his Media office congratulated the erstwhile politician shortly after he received the certificate presented to him by the party’s National Chairman, Prof. Iyorchia Ayu, amongst other NWC members at the PDP Secretariat, Abuja.
This development put all speculations to rest and as well validated the candidacy of Adebutu as Ogun State, standard bearer for 2023 guber election.
The party held its congresses in the state on May 25, 2022 where Adebutu won the primary election held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
“This affirmed your status as the candidate to beat in the coming elections and as well sent shivers down the spine of other candidates across political party line in Ogun state”.
He advised all party members and loyalists in Ogun state to close rank, build a formidable front and work towards the success of the PDP across various elective positions in the forthcoming general elections.
” The best way to wrestle power away from the rulling All Progressives Congress, APC and free the Ogun people from these shackles of bad governance is to put our house in order and work in unity” he said.
It would be recalled that the PDP in Ogun last Thursday affirmed Ladi Adebutu as the governorship candidate in the state.
