Tola Banjo Eulogies Late Banking Doyen, Otunba Subomi Balogun

Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has commiserated with the HRM. Oba Dr. Sikirullahi Adetona, The Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu-Land, the Matriarch and the entire members of Olasubomi Balogun family, on the passage to glory of Otunba Tunwase of Ijebu-Land, Chief Micheal Olasubomi Balogun, who passed on last Friday 19th May 2023.
In a condolence message released through his Media Office, the Ijebu-Ode born politician described the death of the founder of one of the leading Financial Institution in Nigeria, FCMB as a collosal loss not only to Ogun State but the entire Nation.
He stated that Late Subomi Balogun, as an illustrious son of Ijebu-Land was a great stabilizer who has contributed immeasurably to the peace and development of Nigeria and Africa at large.
“Driven by patriotism and service to humanity, the late Otunba Tunwase of Ijebu-Land kept on contributing to national development until his last day on earth. In short, he gave his all to Nigeria and we are so proud of him by investing in the banking sector’s stability and other midas touch.”
“Your philanthropist nature never lost touch with your Yoruba root, you were an embodiment of culture and your legacies will forever linger on”,
“On behalf of my Family and political fan-base, I commiserates with the Subomi Balogun family, may God repose his soul and give the family and the entire Ijebu-Land the fortitude to bear the loss,” he wrote.
