Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun state House of Assembly and House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has described the decision of the immediate past governor of Ogun state and presidential hopeful, Senator Ibikunle Amosun to contest the number seat one in the country come 2023 as one best for the country at these critical time.

The ex-lawmaker stated this Shortly after Senator Ibikunle Amosun picked the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the 2023 presidential election less than twenty hours after his declaration to run at the Sheu Musa Yar’Adua centre in Abuja where scores of his loyalists, party faithful and support groups converged on to register their backing for a Man described by many as the one to engineer the birth of a new Nigeria.

In his words, Hon.Tola Banjo posited that Senator Amosun’s ambition was premised on the need to further return Nigeria to the path of sustainable growth and appreciable level of development, consolidate on the gains of democracy, build a better and secured future for Nigerians particularly the youthful population.

” Senator Ibikunle Amosun rise to national prominence was never a fluke or by proxy but by dint of hard work, uncommon generosity, political sagacity, dedication and wholesome commitment to the service of his people and the entire nation”.
A consummate politician, an astute grassroots mobiliser, and a political colossus with awe-inspiring powers of political organisation, which are qualities required from a someone to govern a country as complex as Nigeria”.
He encouraged the All Progressives Congress, APC to give Senator Amosun the presidential ticket come 2023 reason being that, he is the most placed to lead consolidate on achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari considering his performance as Ogun state governor and he has demonstrate ability of wealth creation and economy building.

The ex-lawmaker also expressed belief that a Nigeria led by Ibikunle Amosun is capable of surmounting any challenges because of his commitment to the core beliefs and principles including respect for Nigeria constitution and rule of law, respect for human rights and civil rights, respect for the Federal Character Commission rules, implementation of restructuring, regionalization, and devolution of powers and merit-based appointment to government positions
Hon Banjo expressed optimism that with the Nationwide support and show of love showered on Senator Amosun at his declaration in the Nation’s Capital , SIA whom he described as a man with good heart, would garner massive votes in the APC presidential primaries and subsequently victory at the general elections.
