Ogun Pastor Kicks Against CAMA Act, says FG Planning To Claim Churches From Owners

The General Overseer of the Divine Universal Church Of Christ International, Itedo Ayo, Oke Berger-Idi Mango, Abeokuta, Rev. Dr. Olayiwola Mercy has kick against the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 which was signed by President Buhari.
He described the act as a strategy by the government to claim churches from the owners.
The cleric disclosed this in an exclusive with Nigeria standard news over the weekend.
He added that the government is planning to put churches under their control.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari signed the CAMA bill into law in August 7 and since then many Nigerian christian leaders have been condemning the law.
Rev. Olayiwola informed that government is not working against corruption.
He said , ”CAMA act is another strategy by the federal government to claim churches from owners and to put churches under their control. If you will remember the two major parties that formed APC are Muslim party and people said it then in 2014/15 to their face but they denied it, Immediately it emerges as the ruling party, they said and I quote” We want to have our CAN president, but because they were not permitted to have that, they have been trying to hijack christianity from back corridor.
”We know that this government is anti- christians and we are ready to defend our sweat.
”I think, nobody is greater than court, how can a sensible and responsible government placed a minister higher than court.
”I want to urge them to wake up to their responsibilities by keeping their promises to the masses. If you ask them to mention one promise they made which they’ve fulfilled, they will not be able to point to anyone” He concluded
He urged federal government to stop anti-christian policy, saying that it will not work.
”They should remove church from that law because church is spiritual. They should make friendship with us because we are the strong pillar that hold this country”.
