House of Reps Member, Olumide Osoba doles out loads of Rice, Beans to Non Indigenous groups, Trade professionals, Religious groups and less privileges in his Constituency
The member representing Abeokuta North/Odeda and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba has distributed loads of rice and beans to his constituents to cushion the effects of the current economic realities occasioned by the removal of fuel Subsidy.
The distribution of the items which took place at the lawmaker’s Family home at GRA Ibara in Abeokuta North Area of Ogun State was made to benefit thousands of people cutting across all the wards in the three Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the Federal Constituency.
Having done general one last week where scores of constituents went home with bags of rice and beans the recent one was targeted at non indigenous groups including members of Ohanaeze Indigbo representing the Igbo Community, Arewa group representing the Hausa community, Members of the Nigerian Automobiles Technicians Association, NATA and Religious communities.
Addressing the representatives of various groups on behalf of the Federal Lawmaker during the distribution of the items, the Chairman Abeokuta North LGA, Hon. Ayorinde disclosed that the rice and beans palliatives were Federal Government funded emergency food items as palliatives to the Constituency through their federal legislators, meant to be shared to members of their constituency and was not a party Affair but for the generality of the people.
Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba elected on the platform of All Progressive Congress, APC used the event to once again express profound gratitude to his constituents for considering him worthy to serve them in the green chamber during the last election and further seek for their support in efforts to keep providing them with dividends of Democracy even as he encouraged them to keep Faith with President Tinubu led federal government.
He reiterated his resolve to continue to offer his people responsive leadership and effective representation at the National Assembly, while ensuring that whatever is due to Abeokuta North/Odeda/Obafemi Owode Fed Constituency from the federal level gets to them intact.
While appreciating the The Federal lawmaker for the gesture, the President General, Ohanaeze Indigbo in Ogun State, Chief Hon. Matthew Nwakwo promised to make the Honourable Member’s dream of a transparent sharing of the Palliatives come through while he also commended organizers for the peaceful organization of the programme.
Other group leaders appreciated Hon. Osoba with a promise to continue support his ambition.
The Gesture does not left out privileges groups in across the three LGAs that makes up the Federal Constituency as the distribution train visited Lepers Colony in Iberekodo, Abeokuta and other less privilege homes where bags of rice and beans were donated to them courtesy Rt.Hon. Olumide Osoba and the Federal Government.
