Gombe Governor’s aid Falls Off a moving car In Convoy, Dies

A 30-year old Ahmad Sagir, a diehard supporter of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa of Gombe State on Sunday fell off from a moving vehicle in the governor’s convoy en route Bajoga/Funakaye local government for an official assignment.
Popularly called Khalifah, Sagir died instantly after suffering from a fractured skull.
Governor Inuwa immediately disengaged the ambulance in his convoy to take Khalifah straight to the State Teaching Hospital Gombe for better medical attention.
A source, who pleaded anonymity, told Nigeria Standard that Ahmad had died even before taken away gathered from the spot.
The governor was feasibly shaken to the marrow as the effect affected his disposition at the event.
It was learned that the funeral prayer for Late Ahmad was observed the same day at the Specialist Hospital with Inuwa leading the state delegation.
Inuwa described the incident as “heart-wrenching.”
A confirmation statement by the Director-General (DG) Press Affairs Government House, Ismaila Uba Misilli said the governor further described the young party faithful as “a respectful, hard, working and promising fellow who was known for his die-hard support for APC and Governor Yahaya’s project.”
Meanwhile, the shaken governor cut short his speech at the occasion and put on hold other engagements at Bajoga to honour the deceased.
